Christopher Reeve, the man who’s famous for his role in the original Superman, once said “So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable”. Space has always been a dream for every boy growing up, impossible at first, but one man decided to summon his will and now the dream is inevitable. Izmir Yamin is the founder and commander in chief for the Independence X Aerospace team, better known as IDXA. And they are the only Asian representative alongside Japan and India in the final 16 of Google Lunar X Prize, a competition that pushes the boundaries of engineers, innovators and entrepreneurs worldwide to developer the most effective low cost methods of robotic space exploration.
