Avana is a newly funded (RM2 million) Malaysian startup that’s in the ecommerce space to provide a special focus for micro merchants. With existing 2000 merchants right now, they are looking to achieve 20,000 merchants by August 2017 and 1 million in 5 years time with expansion plans around SEA, followed by Asia and then globally. Ambitious? Maybe. But for Luqman Adris, the CEO and Yien Yee Soh, the COO, nothing seems to be too ambitious.
