In the Eye of the Beholder

Ancient Egyptians wore cosmetics regardless of gender or status, as they believed that cosmetics had magical power. They used kohl, to line their eyes, applied with a stick, and green eye colour, made from malachite. While we still believe that cosmetics have a magical power, to a certain extent, we’ve certainly come a long way in terms of cosmetics, skincare and beauty products. Is it all in the mind?
