Gen-Y is entering the workplace and as the children of baby boomers, Gen-Y may not always fit the behavior you see in many organisations, but that shouldn't impede on how one can leverage their talents and competences when working as a team on a project. These 20-something new graduates, or "millennials," have lived in a technologically ubiquitous world. They've always been recognised independently of their abilities and have mastered virtual collaboration skills. Projects provide an ideal work environment for millennials because of their temporary nature. Many in Gen-Y are searching for assignments that fulfil them personally as they like to develop solutions supported by technology. We spoke to Teoh Chon Giap, from TEDX Youth @ KL on "Motivating Gen-Ys to Create Something Meaningful in their Career Lives through Projects".
