There is a well known experiment conducted in psychology that tests our awareness. Without giving too much away, the experiment reveals what we see and what we don't see. And it was this experiment that got Christopher Chabris and Daniel Simons thinking that many other intuitive beliefs that we have about our own minds might be just as wrong. Together they wrote The Invisible Gorilla to explore the limits of human intuition and the consequences it may have. Chris joins us to speak more about the research on attention, perception, memory, and reasoning that reveals how faulty intuitions often get us into trouble.
