Yenni Law is the chef and co-owner of Boathouse that serves continental and local cuisines. She first took over a restaurant known then as “Sampan” on 26th December 2004, the exact date when the Asian tsunami hit shores in many places of the world. Thus the name “Boathouse” was coined, symbolising a safe grounded haven that will weather all the tides and waves of time. Sampan was a debt-ridden restaurant and she managed to turn it around in 9 months. 11 years later, Yenni Law still cooks for the restaurant and she recently published a meat specialist cookbook titled ‘Meatology’ which she has been experimenting boldly in the restaurant.
