The birth of Usang stemmed from the hunt for rustic furniture for an eco-friendly jungle retreat development project in Raub. During the search, they stumbled on reclaimed boat wood furniture handmade by Javanese craftsmen. What better way to reclaim these traditional wooden fishing boats that are no longer seaworthy than to give them a new lease of life as beautiful pieces of furniture?
