Parkbox app was launched in Taiping and is now managed by the Municipal Council. They are the first local authority in Malaysia to get on board with this cashless parking payment system equipped by Parkbox Digital. In Taiping alone, the council collects RM2.7million in parking fines and compounds while the parking fee is only 60 cents. This problem is also prevalent in the whole of Malaysia. We speak to Spert Ah, founder of Parkbox Digital on their plans to offer their services nationwide.
