Going Global: DCMStudios (Hong Kong)

James’ design practice, DCMStudios Architects has been around since the 70s and has offices in Hong Kong (Asian Head Office), Vietnam, Australia, Singapore, Dubai and United Kingdom. Specializing in Hospitality, Hotel Design, Retail Architecture, and Urban Design, James's work is reflected through his numerous projects with major clients such as Louis Vuitton, Ermenegildo Zegna, Tiffany & Co, Hilton Hotels, Starwood Hotels, Mandarin Oriental Hotels, Cathay Pacific Airways, HSBC Bank and Bank of America to name a few. In Malaysia, recent projects include K Residence (Avenue K) and Regent Hotel (Avenue K) in Kuala Lumpur.  We speak to James Gibson about his personal story on his road to success as an international architect as well as plans on setting up a base office in Malaysia, in line with it's quest to strengthen its Asian connection.
