In 1905, the 'Popsicle' was invented by 11 year old Frank Epperson whom originally named it 'Epsicle'. He had left his flavoured soda outside his porch with a birch wood stick in it. It took Epperson 18 years to apply for a patent for a "frozen ice on a stick" called 'Epsicle' ice pop which his children re-named the "Popsicle". Since then, the Popsicle has become a "fun food" with different variations around the world. Giselda Parkin, founder and owner of Fru-T-Pop together with her daughter Maya Parkin is here to share their version of homemade Popsicles.
