Erika Peres has a unique background coming from a strong soccer heritage through her father who was a professional soccer player who represented Brazil in three World Cup tournaments from the seventies. He was one of the longest serving players in the Sao Paulo Football Club, a premier club in the Brazilian league. Erika came to Malaysia a couple of years ago, following her husband who is an expatriate here for an oil and gas company. Refusing to stay at home as soon as her three year old started school, she decided to go back to work by offering free soccer classes hoping that it will take off someday. Years down the road, Erika’s complimentary soccer classes have turned into a business with two companies consisting of more than 500 kids.
