1997 was a very significant year to the asian economic landscape. It was during that economic crisis where Edmund Soon’s family went bankrupt. At a point of desperation, Edmund and his mother set up a little stall by the Kelana Jaya LRT station selling nasi lemak. Although a humble beginning, that was a turning point for the family. Fast forward to 13 years, Heritage Village now has four outlets in the Klang Valley and has won the Star People’s Choice Award for the best Nasi Lemak in town.
