The idea of MyStartr was inspired from one of the pioneering crowdfunded companies in Malaysia namely, Purple Cane Holdings who managed to pool 17 individuals to set up the first Purple Cane Tea House. MyStartr then was conceived by the founder of Purple Cane, Lim Hock Lam and Goh Boon Peng. They have raised almost half a million ringgit through 211 campaigns on their platform to date.
