There were bittersweet moments for clubs in MD29 as Arsenal edged Fulham 2-1, but the win came at a cost with injuries to defenders Gabriel Magalhães and Jurrien Timber, taking the shine off Bukayo Saka’s long-awaited return and goal since December. Former Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga proved a point with a lively, match-winning display for Nottingham Forest against his old club, exposing the lack of spark currently plaguing United. At Anfield, Liverpool silenced recent criticism with a composed and clinical 1-0 win over Everton in the Merseyside Derby, reaffirming their title credentials with a disciplined performance.
Elsewhere, Wolves earned a crucial victory that sets them up nicely for their looming 'six-pointer' with Ipswich Town, who themselves lifted hopes of survival with a significant win. Aston Villa looked sharp and resolute in a 3-0 away dismantling of Brighton, suggesting Unai Emery’s side are primed for a demanding run of games — including a looming tie against PSG. Leicester City's woes deepened with a seventh straight loss, again failing to find the net and edging closer to the drop. Meanwhile, Cole Palmer offered Chelsea a much-needed lift helping to secure a 1-0 win over London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. All that plus much more on this week's Just For Kicks.
