Reshaping Conversations on Beauty Through Body Positivity

Last week, Malaysia held its first plus-size pageant, Miss Plus World Malaysia. While several quarters had criticised the event for objectifying women, the pageant’s organisers defended it saying that it raises awareness on body shaming and empowers women of all physiques. And this is what we want to look at: Are plus size pageants the way forward - or are there other ways to help women feel comfortable in their own bodies?
