Back in 2015, Malaysia, along with the rest of the world, made a commitment to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - a set of 17 global goals and 169 targets - by 2030. The United Nations High Level Political Forum, which took place last month in New York, is a mechanism for countries to review and report the progress they’ve made towards the SDG agenda. Datuk Dr Denison Jayasooria, co-chair of the Malaysian CSO-SDG Alliance, who attended the forum in New York, tells us what he thought about the presentation made by Malaysia’s representative, led by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of the Economic Planning Unit Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan.
