World Heart Day 2021: Will Wearable Tech Save Our Lives?

Digital technology has been at the forefront of this pandemic. It has been harnessed to support the public health response, as well as to facilitate daily activities, like learning, working and communicating. We’ve also seen the adoption of digital technology in healthcare to improve patient care, and to put patients in control of managing their health. Smart wearable technology and devices have been helping people do this for years, and has been especially beneficial for monitoring heart activity. We speak to Datuk Dr Razali Omar, Consultant Electrophysiologist & Cardiologist, from Cardiac Vascular Sentral KL (CVSKL), to find out how wearables can change the landscape of heart care, especially when it comes to heart rhythm disorders.
