The Thyagaraja-Tansen Music Festival, organized by The Temple of Fine Arts Malaysia, is a three-day music festival which honours and celebrates the lives of Saint Thyagaraja and Miyan Tansen, the patriarchs of Carnatic and Hindustani classical music respectively. A collaboration of international artistes, music students, teachers and enthusiasts of both Carnatic and Hindustani music all under one roof, we find out more about this year's offerings from sitar exponent Kumar Karthigesu and Indian violin player Hariraam Tingyuen Lam.
