Citizen Science and the Case Study of Smooth-coated Otters in Singapore

Smooth-coated otters returned to Singapore a few years ago after a long absence and an extremely active group of enthusiasts, both scientists and nonscientists, have been following the otters antics almost daily. Technology and online conventions have enabled people to collect a large quantity of high quality behavioural data, which scientists may not necessarily have had access to. Joining us to discuss the return of the Singapore otters and why Citizen Science is a new frontier in scientific research is Dr. Philip Johns, an Assistant professor in Life Sciences at Yale-NUS College in Singapore.
