By The Way: Spotify HiFi, Metallica Censored on Twitch, Blizzard To Get Music Clearance, Daft Punk Break Up

By The Way, is a rapid-fire segment that gives you a snapshot of developing stories in the music world. This week, Spotify sets to roll out a new audio subscription option to its platform, Spotify HiFi, enabling users to have a high-quality music experience. Heavy metal band Metallica got censored on Twitch during their Blizzcon live performance due to a copyright censorship mechanism under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
