ABeatC and Nicholas Chin

Usually, when someone say they’ve gone travelling, it’ll be a trip to a nearby country or maybe just London. But when the trip includes Beijing China, to the coast of England, it might raise a few eyebrows - All done on bicycles.

Lau Shoong Huey is better known as ABeatC. A true talent of beatboxing, he’s been winning national competitions for four years in a row and also got a slot as Vietnam’s Top 4 beatboxers. He and fellow beatboxer, Cody “Coex” Foo created BeatNation. Malaysia’s first prime foundation for beatboxing.

Nicholas Chin is a self taught photographer and videographer with his own production house, 2117 Productions. Both Lau and Nicholas were college mates in Taylor’s University. In 2014, after seeing all the bad news affecting Malaysia, they both decided to spread the word of the Malaysian lifestyle and beatboxing, by travelling through a budget world tour.

They both bought folding bicycles, took a few buses and trains to Beijing China before embarking to the UK via land! Cycling over 50km per day and staying over in cities for a few days, the duo took over 15 months to finish their trip in October 2015.

For the record, Lau and Nicholas scored 22!
