For journalists covering the nature beat, keeping news on the environment in the forefront of the public consciousness, can be a difficult proposition.

Datuk Karam Singh Walia and Tan Su Lin, two journalists who have received awards for their reporting on environmental issues, reflect on their experiences, including the challenges they face in bringing such topics to public attention.
