Malaysia’s eSports is rapidly developing from its infancy and with the recent announcement from the government in Budget 2020 that RM20 million will be allocated to the industry, it definitely has the potential to lead the billion-dollar international business. One of the country’s talents is Andriyana Mohamed Ghazali, also known as Chu Chu Gaming: after completing her medical degree in Egypt, she became a successful international caster cum streamer. This week, Andriyana gives us a clear insight of the eSports ecosystem, the ways a gamer balances work and play, and helps us understand the roots of gender inequality that the gaming world is infamous for.
