Local Proton Vendors : Do They Have A Future?

The Morning Run crew gives you their take on today's business headlines:

0:10 - The entry of Geely as the controlling shareholder of Proton has worried Proton’s vendors. Malaysian vendors supplying Proton are expected to be told next week whether they will have a future with Proton in a meeting with newly appointed CEO, Dr. Li Chunrong.

5:28 - Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER) projects that the domestic economy will grow by 5.4% in 2017, an upward revision of 0.7 percentage point from July’s forecast. This is the second revision by the think tank this year. In July, it raised the GDP growth forecast to 4.7% from 4.4%.

7:30 - Mah Sing Group Bhd has terminated a RM 60 million proposed deal to buy 5 parcels of adjoining freehold land fronting Titiwangsa Lake, citing non-fulfilment of the conditions precedent within the conditions precedent period.
