Ananda Krishnan is reportedly considering the possibility of taking Astro private, again. Reports note that Ananda has revived deliberations for an Astro buyout, an exercise that isn't new to the tycoon who pursued similar tactics in the past with Maxis and Bumi Armada.
After being listed in 2003, Astro was taken private in June 2010 and was then re-listed in October 2012.
With Astro shares now at a record low of RM1.36, the company has a market value of around RM7 billion.
