Ragunath Kesavan, President of the Malaysian Bar Council, discusses Malaysia as a Parliamentary Democracy, the separation of powers, the role of the Bar Council, the rule of law, how a thousand lawyers marched on Putrajaya in 2007 over the Lingam case, the Teoh Beng Hock case, the defensiveness of the police force in the shooting case, legislation needed and unneeded, such as the ISA, the OSA and the Printing and Publications Act.
