Picking themselves up after the failure of the banking megamerger, Malaysia Building Society Berhad will position themselves as a fully fledged Islamic bank. This will give them the spiritual backing against some of the supposedly more tainted offerings out there.

Dato' Ahmad also believes that the bank isn't hindered commercially by government coercion despite a high level of loans to civil servants.
