Keeping The Judiciary Independent Is Non Negotiable

At the opening ceremony for the 2023 legal year in Putrajaya, Chief Justice Tun Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat said that she welcomes improvements or amendments to the Judicial Appointments Commission Act 2009 to ensure it is completely independent of the executive body.  Dato' Mah Weng Kwai, Former Commissioner of SUHAKAM,  who also served as Judge at the Court of Appeal gives us his opinion on this matter.
