A group representing some 3,000 taxi drivers have recently filed a lawsuit against the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) for allowing ride-booking services like Uber and Grab to operate despite declaring them illegal. The commission's prolonged inaction has also prompted various stakeholders to propose strategies to help conventional taxis survive alongside ride-booking services. BFM explores.
