Talkback Thursday: The Rohingya Community in Malaysia

This evening on Talkback, we’re going to be discussing the refugee situation - more specifically, the current Rohingya refugee crisis. Mainstream media has highlighted their plight, albeit sporadically.. but over the years, that’s changed quite a bit. Just last week, the discussion went ‘mainstream’ when a protest outside the Myanmar embassy turned ugly. About 155 demonstrators were arrested in the process, and the demonstration resulted in a massive traffic jam that took hours to clear. So this evening, we'd like to get a candid gauge of where you stand on the situation: Are you willing to accept the Rohingya community as part of Malaysian society? Do you think we should do more to integrate them or is this a matter for Myanmar to resolve? Our lines will be open.
