We’ve just come off Elections in Sarawak (Saturday) where Sarawak Barisan won 72 out of the 82 seats in the 11th state polls. In the aftermath of Barisan’s victory, we’ve seen the online discourse take on a rather ugly tone, with West Malaysians criticising East Malaysians for their voting choices.
So today on Talkback Thursday, we’d like to explore these dynamics. When you vote, what are you voting for? Do West Malaysians feel a sense of disconnect from our fellow Malaysians in Sabah & Sarawak? Ultimately, are Malaysians smart voters?
