For those of a particular generation, the tale of 10-year-old Bastian finding his way into the magical land of Fantasia through a mysterious book, is the stuff of beloved childhood nostalgia. Directed by Wolf Petersen, the 1984 movie was groundbreaking in its time for its depiction of a fantasy world and its fascinating characters.
