Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has identified and removed about 600 Malaysian accounts across all its social media platforms, believed to be part of a troll farm. We first look at the kind of influence these fake accounts have on the public, and why that needs to be highlighted. Then, we discuss what should be done about this.
