Super Mario Bros is a video game unlike any other.  This wasn’t a simulation. It was a world to get lost in.

On Friday, September 13th, 1985, Super Mario Bros. arrived in arcades all across Japan. Nintendo had a hit on their hands and Shigero Miyamoto’s long gestating masterpiece would become the game that would define the company forever. Super Mario would become a global icon.
