Recently, New Zealand announced they would be putting a ban on foreign buyers from purchasing property in their country, in an attempt to tackle their housing crisis. The move, some say, seems to be in line with the growing protectionist policy adopted by developing countries - the US bought into Trump's promise to create more jobs for Americans. And the Brexit vote was really about prioritising British workers over European migrant labour. So, what sort of global implications can we expect from countries having protectionist policies?
