With the tragedy that occurred during Future Music Festival Asia 2014, police and media were in frenzy over the incident, which saw six people dead. It lead the authorities to launch an investigation into the organisers being negligent about event safety. As Malaysia looks to host more international events, concerts and festivals, we discussed the specific steps organizers, enforcement agencies, local communities and participants need to take when considering event safety.
