Understanding Traits of Extremism

Late last year, Bukit Aman's Special Branch Counter Terrorism Division said that teachers and parents need to understand the threat and traits of militant groups to ensure that its ideology doesn't spread among school students. But where do we even start? Who do parents and teachers learn from? We check in with Ahmad El-Muhammady from IIUM about how this should be properly carried out, given his extensive work as advisor to PDRM's Rehab Programme for terrorist detainees.
