Sabah has developed a Social Time Bank System to promote volunteerism, which is expected to be launched soon. According to Sabah Head of State, Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, this system will allow awards or points in the form of credit hours that could be exchanged with certain offered items. For this, we spoke to Justin Cheah from Kechara Soup Kitchen, who relies on volunteers to run. We discussed his thoughts on this initiative and whether it will encourage long-term volunteerism.
