A report from Free Malaysia Today has highlighted the concerns of nightclub owners about a potential increase in police raids, following a statement by a former police chief that some nightclubs supply recreational drugs to patrons under protection of rogue authorities. Trade groups have urged authorities to hold conversations with owners to solve this issue. We discuss the rights that nightclub owners have, and the financial costs they bear when raids increase.
