Captain Mike Parker, raised in North Carolina, began his military career serving as an enlisted soldier in the United States Army stationed in Germany in the mid-1980s. He later attended Western Carolina University and graduated in 1990 with a B.S. in Economics. Parker entered the United States Navy through the Aviation Officer Candidate School Program, receiving his commission in 1991 and following flight training, was designated a Naval Flight Officer in 1992.
Currently Commodore of the Patrol and Reconnaisance Force, Seventh Fleet of the U.S. Navy he came by the studio to talk to us about his illustrious military career and how the U.S. Navy are assisting with the ongoing search for the missing MH370 flight.
