In and Out of Malaysia

Most of us know at least one disgruntled Malaysian who has packed his/her bags and made that move overseas in search of greener pastures. Their reasons are similar; “I want better education for my kids” or “It’s better being a 2nd class citizen overseas than here in Malaysia”, etc. On the flip side however, are people, often migrants, desperately wanting to move to Malaysia for a better life, for a better job, for a better future. And in an ironic twist, it feels as if the number of Malaysians we hear wanting to get out of Malaysia almost equals the number of migrants wanting to move in to Malaysia. We hear from both perspectives in this Malaysia Day special.
