ASEAN celebrates its 50th anniversary this year with very few of us understanding the the regional bloc's role. Since its inception back in 1967 when the Bangkok Declaration was signed, and their role over the years, the bloc has achieved some significant milestones that have benefited its member countries. Guest Bunn Nagara helps put ASEAN's role into context for us as the bloc faces some recent; politically from Myanmar and economically, when the TPPA fell through.
