Far From Home 1: Migrants’ Art Activism

We always speak of the immigrants in Malaysia as 'the other'. In actual fact, the 6 million of them who have made Malaysia their home for years are just like us; they have dreams, stories and fears. Over the next 12 weeks, we'll be bringing their stories on air, disengaging you from the common migrant narrative and instead, giving them something they often get deprived of: a voice. In today's episode, we'll speak about activism in the migrant community; are they aware of where they can go to and to whom they can speak to when their rights are abused?
