After years of being rejected, a group of Malaysian mothers, whose children were previously denied citizenship because they were born overseas to foreign fathers, finally managed to start the process to get the children’s citizenship confirmation certificate at the National Registration Department (JPN) yesterday. We discuss their response to this, and what it took for them to get to this point.
