Cabinet To Review Sedition Law

Minister of Law and Institutional Reform Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said announced that the Cabinet has agreed in principle for the Sedition Act 1948 to be limited only to matters involving the royalty. We unpack the significance of this, and discuss why clarity is important when it comes to how future cases involving the 3Rs (race, religion, and royalty) are covered by the law.
