Since the Home Ministry's announcement of new entry requirements for the Malaysian My Second Home (MM2H) programme, various quarters including the Johor Ruler have voiced out criticisms, calling the changes drastic and that they would chase away foreign investors. We explore the economic implications of the new policies.
