Hybrid cloud; It did not have the best of start in the industry. Around 2008, cloud computing purists pushed back hard on hybrid cloud. It was a time when they already thought private clouds were silly and just another hip way of calling a data center. The whole idea of hybrid, that uses private and traditional computing platforms was deemed ridiculous.
Fast forward to today, it’s clear that hybrid cloud computing have valid roles within enterprises as IT tries to mix and match public clouds and local IT assets to get the best bang for your buck. But is this really for you? Should you be investing in hybrid cloud for your business?
