2017 has been a year of many things. The year of AI, the year of VR, the year of Cryptocurrency or Bitcoin. But among all the great things it has been, it has also been the year of ransomware, in record breaking numbers. CryptoLocker, GoldenEye, Locky and of course, WannaCry all came to light in 2017, affecting millions of people around the world that have cost worldwide businesses an estimated $1 billion in 2017.
