Corporations perform better when they have the best people on board. However, despite the realisation that board members are appointed based on merit, women are still outnumbered by men at the decision-making level. This imbalance between men and women on corporate boards will remain a general practice for some time unless drastic measures like targets or quotas are introduced to increase the number of women members.
