Having a role model is an important part of growing up – it gives inspiration, motivation, and even a path as to how to reach a certain goal or vision for yourself. This is a journey that starts from a very young age, and exposure to the right kind of role models is crucial – even more crucial however is the ability to critically look at a role model and pick the behaviours, attitudes, and skills that you should aspire to achieve, leaving behind those that you shouldn’t.
